All in 1 coatings will not introduce corrosive hydrofluoric acid into your home.
1. All in 1 coatings is environmentally responsible.
2. Etching acid is dangerous.
3. Etching acid is corrosive.
4. Etching acid doesn’t always work.
Most refinishers use hydrofluoric acid to chemically “etch” a porcelain or ceramic tile surface in an attempt to make their coating “stick.” Hydrofluoric acid is so strong that it actually eats away the porcelain, creating “pits” and a rough area for the new coating to hold onto.
Hydrofluoric acid is dangerous and can cause burns to the technicians using it. If misused, this acid can cause damage to fixtures, surrounding carpet or floors. It is also corrosive to pipes if not properly neutralized before being washed down your drain. Unfortunately, this does not always happen and the acid damages pipes and the environment. If acid etching is used in your home or business, be sure the technician is covered by workman’s comp, and not your homeowner’s policy!
Acid etching can fail because even the smallest amount of moisture under the new finish at the tub’s edge or around the drain can blister and force the new finish to let go and peel. The finish will continue to peel as moisture works its way underneath and compromises the mechanical bond.
Nearly 50% of our work is fixing an acid etching refinisher's failed job. It requires stripping the tub, an additional cost to you, but the job will be done right.
All in 1 coatings uses its own proprietary, acid-free bonding agent, . It creates a chemical bond between the old surface and the new finish on your tub fixture or tile.
smooth, hard finish will not peel and will look like new…we guarantee it!

All In 1 Coatings in Orange County Ca follows a basic 5-step resurfacing process to refinish or re-glaze your bathtub, counter top, or sinks. While refinishing companies may have techniques or products that differ, the refinishing process itself is generally the same.
1. Clean and Prep Tub
First we clean and scrub out all contaminants, including removal of silicone caulking. Next, we make any initial repairs on bottom and sides of the bathtub.
2. Site preparation
Because bathtub resurfacing is messy, we take the necessary steps to insure that your bathroom is protected from over spray with plastic sheeting taped securely at the edges.
The bathtub refinishing process can produce vapors that may cause irritation, so make sure there is proper ventilation until the process is completed.
3. Sand & Repair
To insure a proper adherence of the re-glazing, we first sand the existing coating adequately to insure a proper bond or remove and strip down entirely.
Any remaining cracks, chips, rust or weak spots are then removed as the last step to prepare for the primer.
4. Primer's include a wipe on for adhesion then 2-3 coats of epoxy resin
A primer is then applied to the bathtub surface and allowed to dry.
5. Coating -Polyurethane
Apply 3 to 4 Different coats of acrylic urethane (which we use a greener material then most are using and follows strict federal V.O.C. laws. (or until we are satisfied that there is enough coverage)
Multiple layers of coating are applied to reglaze and create a new waterproof surface. Once these coats dry, the sealer coat is applied, and your refinishing project is complete.
The bathtub refinishing process is simple. The bathtub will be ready to use after 24 hrs and the now you have a new beautiful tub surface that will last for years!
Care Instructions for Bathtub, Tile, Sink, Countertops, Fiberglass Enclosures ETC…
1. DO NOT use the surface for 24 hours upon completion.
2. DO NOT lay soap, sponges, cloths, bottles or any objects on the finish at any time! Purchase a shower rack instead.
3. DO NOT let a leaky faucet go unrepaired!
4. DO NOT use abrasive cleansers. No S-O-S Pads. No Comet/Bleach. No Drano, etc. No Soft Scrub. No razors. NO ABRASIVES AT ALL! Tub cleans easy with spray cleaner and a soft sponge.
5. Here are some good cleansers to use: Foam cleaners are recommended, scrubbing bubbles (BEST read on back will say for refinished porcelain surfaces), Tilex, Lysol Tile Cleaner, Mr. Clean, and Fantastic. NO POWDERS, NO ABRASIVES, make sure no cleaner has bleach in it, just a soft sponge.
6. DO NOT use bath mats with suctions underneath. They may pull at finish and trap moisture.
7. DO NOT pick surface dust off with your finger. Any surface dust will likely dissipate in 3-4 weeks with normal cleaning and usage. Waxing also helps.
8. The best way to keep your tub clean is to wipe it down with a towel after each use. You don't have to wipe it dry.
